Historical Timeline

What started as an after-school business for two high school boys has turned into a national and international success story more than 30 years later. With a hand-drawn logo by Founder Mary Ellen Sheets, and an advertisement in the local paper, this endeavor with their small little moving company was never expected to grow to the size it is today.
1981

First move by Brig and Jon

Brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber started moving people in the Lansing, Michigan area using an old pickup truck.

Mary Ellen Sheets’ donated her profits to 10 different charities during her first year in business.

1989

Franchise system established

Melanie Bergeron (daugther of Mary Ellen Sheets) opens the first franchise, located in Atlanta, Georgia
