Community Service

Giving back to the community has been part of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s culture since the very beginning — after profiting her first $1,000, Company Founder Mary Ellen Sheets gave $100 to 10 different local charities.

Over the course of 30 years, the opportunity to give back has grown into more than just a company core value, it’s a frame of mind team members live by, day in and day out. The great thing about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is each and every person has a chance to make a difference in their community. From local charity moves to the annual donation drives to benefit those in need within our communities, opportunities are plentiful.

Since 2009, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchises across the country have donated more than 137,000 hours of service to their communities. This means our franchises are volunteering at various community events which benefit organizations such as Toys for Tots, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and so many more. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® also has five of its own charity programs franchises that are run annually — Movers for Moms®, Movers for Military, Movers for Meals, Movers for Mutts, and Truckload of Warmth. These programs, in conjunction with the community’s support and donations, help to support mothers in domestic abuse or homeless shelters, military veterans, food pantries, and animal shelters by providing items they need most.

A leader in community service

In 2015 alone, franchises donated $2,840,214 worth of moving services to non-profits in need. We also contribute to the American Cancer Society, our national charity of choice, by donating 10 cents of every move to the cause. Since 2001, we have raised more than $500,000, with the donated money benefiting local American Cancer Society programs in communities across the country.

Franchise teams not only have the unique opportunity to move our customers’ lives forward every day, but have a huge hand in supporting their communities through various volunteer efforts.
