Multi-Unit General Manager

After a positive experience as a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® customer, Scott Weaver didn’t hesitate to jump at the chance of starting his career with the brand after seeing a posting online in 2023. Beginning as the operations manager, Scott quickly advanced over the course of two years to hold the position he has today.

“I found the posting online for the Operations Manager role in Charlottesville, Va.,” said Scott. “I applied for the role looking for work in that area and it fit my background. I had been a customer of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in the past and loved my experience, so I thought working here must be great. I researched the company and found even more that I enjoyed. Once I spoke with the owners and their team, I was sold. I quickly became a General Manager in 2024 and in late 2025 became a Multi-Unit General Manager. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s values were just so great and the experience I have had with our franchisees and team has been better than I could ever hoped.”

Stepping into his current position, Scott believes in three key aspects that help to keep him motivated to continue to grow, not just in his role but in his teams.

“The culture, support, and excitement of growing into new markets, new positions, and creating new opportunities for myself [keep me motivated],” said Scott. “I love watching my crews develop and grow into new roles and support them the way I have.”

In addition to the culture, support, and excitement that comes from a career with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Scott further believes it is the brand’s commitment to its core values and positive environment that make it a place people do not just want to work at, but want to continue to work at.

“This is a fast-paced environment, and there is nothing "fun" about moving in general, but somehow TWO MEN AND A TRUCK makes it fun and enjoyable,” stated Scott. “With the right crews and office staff, coming into work is not a dread. I’m always seeking out new opportunities to help grow our brand, help others, learn, and sharpen my skill set. The Scholarship Program was the perfect opportunity for me to accomplish these things. It was and continues to be an incredible and invaluable opportunity. It has been more than I expected in many ways, and I have learned a great deal and have been able to help others and build relationships through the program.

The thing that attracted me most to the job was just the team environment, I’ve grown up playing sports my whole life, so when I got there and met everyone, I saw the way they treated the guys, how all the guys were team-based like family, and that was just something that really attracted me and kept me here. I chose to enroll in the Managers Moving Forward Program after seeing a presentation at Annual Meeting. I saw some of the focus areas were weaknesses of mine, and I figured it would be beneficial to address those. The experience has been awesome, and all of the content has led to processes I can implement at my franchise to make it better. If you aren’t growing, you’re dying, and I’d prefer the former over the latter!
